Standing Together: Supporting Our Community After the Fires

The recent wildfires across Los Angeles have brought immense devastation to our community, and continue to burn. Many residents have lost their homes, possessions, and in some cases, loved ones.

For Campbell Wellman, Pacific Palisades is our home, beloved community and where we've built our lives and our business. We are intent on slowly and steadily rebuilding what has been lost in this tragedy as we are able. We are here for this community in working through how to go forward from here.

Here are some ways we can all help each other and ourselves at this time:

Financial Donations:

    • Local Food Banks: Support organizations providing meals to displaced residents and first responders.

    • Animal Shelters: Many animals have been displaced by the fires. Consider donating to local shelters caring for these animals.

Volunteer Your Time:

    • Contact local shelters and community centers: Inquire about volunteer opportunities, such as assisting with food distribution, providing emotional support, or helping with cleanup efforts.

  • Offer your skills: If you have skills like construction, hauling, cleaning, or mental health counseling, offer your services to those in need.

Offer Housing Support:

Mental Health Support:

    • The Mental Health Coalition: Provides resources and support for those experiencing mental health challenges, including those impacted by disasters.

Spread Awareness:

    • Share information: Share information about available resources, volunteer opportunities, and donation drives on social media and with your network.

    • Raise awareness: Advocate for policies that address Los Angeles water supply, proper resources during drought, fire control in our state, and education for all of us on these types of natural disaster emergencies.

Begin the Healing Process: Even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference. By working together, we can help our community recover from this tragedy.
