Shop Small, Gift Local: The Venice Winter Fest Returns to the Westside
![]()
It's so fun to give holiday gifts that carry meaning and a story—a piece of handcrafted jewelry made down the street, a framed print from a local coastal photographer, or bespoke home goods designed right here on the Westside.
On Saturday, December 5, 2026, one of Los Angeles' premier community gatherings is returning with a dedicated seasonal focus. The Venice Winter Fest is taking over the Venice Boulevard corridor (centered at 12257 Venice Blvd, spanning toward Grand View and Centinela) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Reimagined this year as an intentionally curated holiday market, the festival shifts away from standard commercial shopping, putting the spotlight entirely on supporting local makers, artists, independent creators, and small businesses.
The Evolution of the Venice Boulevard Corridor
Venice Boulevard—specifically the historic stretch connecting Mar Vista to Venice Beach—has long served as the creative spine of the Westside. Historically a hub for bohemian artists, craftsman homes, and independent storefronts, this stretch of Venice Blvd has evolved into one of LA’s most vibrant, walkable neighborhood strips while fiercely preserving its independent spirit.
The Venice Fest team has consistently celebrated this hyper-local culture through seasonal block events. For the 2026 holiday season, organizers are simplifying the format to double down on what matters most: neighborhood connection, conscious gifting, and direct community support.
What You’ll Discover at the Market
Whether you are looking to finish your holiday list in one afternoon or simply want to discover new coastal brands, the market brings together hundreds of independent vendors across key categories:
-
Art & Fine Photography: Original prints, coastal ceramics, and hand-pulled graphic work from Southern California artists.
-
Jewelry & Apparel: Small-batch accessories, vintage clothing finds, and ethically produced local resortwear.
-
Home & Lifestyle: Hand-poured candles, botanical apothecary items, custom woodwork, and curated interior decor.
-
Kids, Pets & Family: Handcrafted wooden toys, organic baby goods, and artisan pet treats for your four-legged family members.
-
Community & Non-Profit Alignment: The Venice Fest platform proudly partners with local non-profits, including Nourish LA (fighting food waste and hunger) and Safe Place for Youth (SPY), reinforcing the spirit of giving back.

The Campbell Wellman Take
"The true value of a neighborhood is built on its local character and the people who invest in it. The Venice Winter Fest is a great reminder that keeping holiday spending within our Westside ecosystem directly strengthens our small business community—and results in gifts that mean far more."
