This Friday, October 31st, Downtown Santa Monica is the epicenter of Halloween action, offering something spectacular for everyone—from costumed kids and their pups to fun-loving partygoers. Get ready for a seamless transition from a sweet, spooky afternoon to an epic, historic block party!

 

 

Part I: Treats & Fun on the Promenade (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

Start your Halloween early with the ultimate Monster Mash for All Ages! The Downtown district transforms into a safe, vibrant, and FREE trick-or-treating haven for the whole family (yes, even dogs in costume!).

Kid-Friendly Attractions:

  • Trick-or-Treating Downtown: From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, grab your bags and follow the special Trick-or-Treat map to participating shops throughout the district and Santa Monica Place—they'll be handing out candy and goodies while supplies last. Costumes are a must!

  • The Main Monster Mash Party: Head to the 1300 Block of the Promenade (between Arizona & Santa Monica Blvd) for the central party hub featuring:

    • A Free Mini Pumpkin Patch (while pumpkins last!)

    • Free Face Painting, Pumpkin Decorating, and Games.

    • Free Treats, Stickers, and Tattoos.

    • Photo Booths, costumed characters, and a live DJ spinning kid-friendly music.

The Details: This is a FREE community event perfect for kids, parents, and pups. Just make sure to get there early to snag those free pumpkins!

 

 

Part II: Santa Monica’s Biggest-Ever Halloween Block Party (8:00 PM – 2:00 AM)

As the sun sets, the Promenade flips the switch from family fun to The City’s Largest Halloween Takeover! For the first time in history, the iconic Third Street Promenade is turning into an open-air street party for adults (21+). You do not want to miss this.

The Night’s Frights & Delights:

  • Two Stages, Zero Rules: The party is centered on the 1200 Block of 3rd Street Promenade and features two distinctly themed environments:

    • STAGE 1: The Raveyard Stage — An open-air stage for an epic celebration and dancing under the stars.

    • STAGE 2: Haunted Beach House — An elegant, indoor costume party experience (at 1212 3rd St Promenade).

  • Burning Man Curation: The event is curated by two major Burning Man Camps, promising unique art, immersive vibes, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

  • Outdoor Drinking Approved! For this one night, Outdoor Drinking and Open Containers are approved on the 3rd Street Promenade.

  • Admission is FREE!
