Ringing in the holiday season isn’t always easy in Southern California. When the movies suggest December should have snowmen and slay rides, it can be hard to get into the Christmas spirit: Unless you’re in Downtown Santa Monica. Every holiday season an outdoor skating rink, ICE, appears at the corner of Fifth Street and Arizona Avenue, bringing holiday spirit along with it!

This winter wonderland is the perfect place to celebrate the holidays. It is also a great place to hang out with friends and family, throw a party in a private event cabana, enjoy a first date or even sign up for skate lessons.

This beloved tradition began on November 3rd and remains open through January 16th. Tickets with skate rentals are only $15, making this a friendly priced activity for all!

If you aren’t a pro at skating, you can schedule skating lessons with experienced professionals from the The Randy Gardner School of Skating. To sign up for private lessons or to join a group lesson, click here.

You can also rent a cabana at ICE, to make your next celebration a memorable one! To rent one, click here.

ICE at Santa Monica is an outdoor skating rink and is subject to weather conditions. The rink is open in the rain, but will close if the weather conditions become dangerous for skaters or staffers. If you are unsure if the skating rink will be open, simply call ICE team at 310.260.1199.
