1. **Do you have an event map for the NYE activities?**

2. **What time does the fireworks show start and how long will it last?**

   - The fireworks extravaganza kicks off at 9:00 pm and 12:00am, and you can expect a dazzling display that lasts for 30 minutes per display.

 

3. **Where are the best viewing spots in Marina del Rey to see the show?**

   - Discover the prime viewing spots. The Jetty south of the pier is where the fireworks are launched but anywhere around the Marina they will be visible.

 

4. **Where can I park in Marina del Rey?**

6. **How will traffic be at the event?**

 

The traffic will be heavy prior to and after the event. Come early and leave early to fight the delays.

 

7. **Will there be street closures in Marina del Rey?**

 

   Yes, below are the planned street closures in Marina del Rey for New Year’s Eve:

7:00 PM –12:30 PM
Mindanao Way (westbound) closed (including from NB Admiralty’s left-turn lane)

8:30 PM and 1:00 AM
No Left Turn @ Fiji Way onto NB Admiralty

In addition, the Waterside Shopping Center driveway on Mindanao Way, near Ralphs, will be temporarily closed at 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM for up to one hour to alleviate vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area.  All other driveways at the shopping center will not be impacted. 

NOTE: The times and locations of street closures are subject to change at any time due to traffic conditions.



8. **How do I get around Marina del Rey?**

Alternate Transportation on NYE:

  • The Marvin Braude Coastal Bike Trail is a 22-mile paved bicycle path that runs along the Los Angeles County coastline, from Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades to Torrance County Beach in Torrance. The bike trail runs through Marina del Rey from Dockweiler State Beach to Washington Boulevard near Venice Beach.



9. **Can I take a rideshare service to/from the event?**

 

  • Rideshare:  Passengers using rideshare services, such as Lyft or Uber, should expect extended delays in service times due to heavy traffic and scheduled road closures in Marina del Rey on NYE.

Rideshare drivers are cautioned against illegally stopping or parking to pick-up/drop-off passengers, as it poses a safety risk to both parties, as well as to other motorists and pedestrians.  Due to street closures, the pick-up/drop-off of passengers may need to take place beyond the Marina’s immediate boundaries.

 

10. **Is the event rain or shine?**

    - The celebration is set to go on, rain or shine!

 

11. **Will food be available at the event?**

    - Yes, indulge in delicious treats as food will be available onsite.
