No Surprise Here: California Was Just Named the Most ‘Fun’ State in America

For those of us who have spent our lives on the Westside, the news isn't all that surprising: California was just officially named the most "fun" state in the entire country. The recent ranking from WalletHub, which analyzed everything from nightlife to outdoor recreation, simply confirmed what we've always known—that in our entire lives living here, we have yet to get bored.
WalletHub’s findings, referenced in publications like Travel + Leisure, were based on a deep dive into 26 metrics across two key categories: "Entertainment & Recreation" and "Nightlife." California topped the list due to its staggering number of attractions, restaurants, amusement parks, and music festivals per capita. But the data that truly resonates with us is the acknowledgment of what makes coastal living so special: the report found that California has the nation's best beach access and the fourth-best weather.
This perfect combination of sun, sand, and endless activities is a daily reality here on the Westside. We have the iconic Venice Beach Boardwalk, the bustling Santa Monica Pier, and a local arts scene that never ceases to surprise. We have world-class museums like the Getty Center, the incredible dining in the Culver City Arts District, and of course, our beautiful beaches where a quick walk in the sand can turn any day into a vacation.

This is a state that not only offers a wide range of activities but is fundamentally designed to boost mental, physical, and emotional health. From the oceanfront bike paths to the stunning coastal bluffs, we are surrounded by a lifestyle that encourages us to get outside, stay active, and connect with our community.

This undeniable quality of life, fueled by endless opportunities for fun and wellness, is precisely why California's real estate market remains so enduringly valuable. It is a market where the lifestyle itself is a powerful asset, creating a demand that consistently outpaces supply. For us, the WalletHub ranking is simply another piece of evidence that our home is a true investment in happiness and security.
It is a testament to why, in our opinion, this will never not be the best place to live and invest.
