A Clean Coast is Our Greatest Asset: Join Heal the Bay's Annual Coastal Cleanup Day

On the Westside, our greatest asset isn’t just our real estate; it's the natural beauty that surrounds it. That's why we're proud to share a very special community event that is a perfect way to celebrate what makes this area so unique.

Heal the Bay will host its 36th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day this Saturday, September 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. It’s an easy, rewarding way to give back and help protect the oceans and watersheds we all cherish.

This year’s event invites volunteers to join forces at over 70 sites across Los Angeles County, including our own backyard with cleanups planned for Venice Pier, Marina del Rey's Mother's Beach, and Will Rogers State Beach.

More Than a Cleanup

This is not your average volunteer day. Heal the Bay has organized a number of unique experiences to make this year's event unforgettable. Participants can join a new "Trashure Hunt," where special items are hidden at sites, redeemable for valuable prizes. You can also sign up for special themed sites that offer one-of-a-kind opportunities, like having lunch with a marine biologist or a beachside breathwork session.

This event is a cornerstone of our community—a time when neighbors, local businesses, and environmental experts come together with a shared purpose. We encourage you to grab your reusable gloves, a bucket, and a water bottle, and join the effort.
