Holidays by the Harbor: A Coastal Celebration at Fisherman’s Village
![]()
There is a unique magic to the holidays in Marina del Rey. While the rest of the country looks for snow, we look to the water.
This year, Fisherman’s Village is hosting some awesome holiday fun. Whether you are looking for a festive family afternoon or a spectacular way to ring in 2026, the Village has a couple great options.
Saturday, December 20th: The Holiday Celebration
This Saturday is designed for memory-making. Before the Christmas rush truly begins, take a moment to stroll the boardwalk and enjoy a day of classic holiday whimsy.
-
The Classics: Santa Claus and his Elf will be on-site at the "Letters to Santa" table—a perfect stop for the kids before they enjoy professional face painting and roaming carolers performing holiday favorites.
-
The Memories: A festive photo booth will be available for instant holiday keepsakes.
-
The Unique: For those seeking something beyond the traditional, don’t miss the Speed Reading Winter Solstice Event, a thoughtful nod to the changing seasons as we approach the shortest day of the year.
New Year’s Eve: A Spectacular Farewell to 2025
On December 31st, Fisherman’s Village transforms into the premier viewing spot for the Marina's legendary fireworks. If you want to avoid the frantic pace of Hollywood or Downtown, the harbor offers a sophisticated, spectacular alternative.
-
Double the Fireworks: Catch two distinct shows—one at 9 PM (perfect for families following the East Coast countdown) and a grand finale at midnight.
-
The Vibe: A live DJ will be setting the tone from 5 PM to 9:30 PM, with a photo booth running from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM to capture your final moments of 2025.
Pro Tip: Make it a Waterfront Evening
While the events are free to attend, we recommend making a full evening of it. Fisherman’s Village (located at 13755 Fiji Way) is home to some of the Marina's most nostalgic waterfront dining. Consider a reservation at Whiskey Red’s for unobstructed views of the fireworks, or an intimate Italian dinner at La Marina Trattoria before the shows begin.
The harbor is calling this holiday season. We’ll see you by the water!
