Historical Holiday Shine: Downtown LA Walking Tour
Looking for something fun to do in Downtown LA? Try this Holiday walking tour! You’ll see everything from a Nutcracker village to Las Posada as you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and the bright lights of Downtown Los Angeles. The tour is for every one of all ages, and departs nightly from November 26-December 30 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and free for kids. And if you think the whole tour is too much to hold your kiddo’s attention, then head to the Grand Park Playground until sunset, then watch as Grand Park magically comes alive with thousands of twinkling lights for the holidays.
The Biggest Tree: The Grove, Los Angeles
If you want to get your holiday shopping done and see some spectacularly beautiful lights, then look no further than The Grove Shopping Center in Mid-City. The Grove is home to Los Angeles’ largest Christmas tree at 100 feet tall. The white fir tree is dressed in more than 15,000 lights and 10,000 festive ornaments. To add to the holiday spirit there is a magical water show set to holiday tunes every night at the shopping center’s fountain. And if all of that is not quite magical enough for you, every night at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Snowflakes fall from above, leaving your little ones in awe.
Garden of Lights: Enchanted: Forest of Lights
For the first time ever, Descanso Gardens will light up its landscape with a one-of-a-kind holiday light display. The light show features several interactive displays, such as the Symphony of Oaks, which lets you manipulate lights and sounds in the garden’s Oak Grove. Timed entries run from 5-10 p.m. each evening through January 8TH. Pro tip, purchase tickets in advance online so you definitely get a spot! Also, it’s a walking tour, so you definitely want to bring your strollers for you little ones!
