There is never a lack of things to do in Silicon Beach, but the problem is that most of the activities cost money.

Every so often though, you can find free things to do that are just as fun as the pricey stuff. Below, you can find a list of the best free activities in Silicon Beach!


Marina del Rey Weekend Concert Series

Pack a picnic and a blanket and settle in for the Marina del Rey Weekend Concert Series! Each Saturday and Sunday in April you can head to Fisherman’s Village (13737 Fiji Highway) for a free concert.

Upcoming performances include Upstream, Floyd & The Flyboys, Blue Breeze, 2 AZZ 1, JB & The BC Riders, and Susie Hansen Latin Band.

Parking is free for 2 hours with validation.


Venice Beach Boardwalk

Take in the street art and all of the eclectic views that Venice Beach has to offer on the Venice Beach Boardwalk! From artwork to magic tricks, there is never a dull moment!


Sunset Series Regatta

The California Yacht Club puts on an annual summer sailing series, that is free to watch from pretty much anywhere in the Marina that has a view of the main channel, including Burton Chace Park and Fisherman’s Village. Boats race from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays, April 18-September 5, 2018. Bring the kids or a date and enjoy the view of the gorgeous sunset and the racing sailboats.  


Marina Del Rey Farmers Market

Head to County Parking Lot 11 (Via Marina @ Panay Way) every Saturday for farm-fresh produce, flowers, prepared foods, handmade items, music, and entertainment. Though the goods aren’t free, the admission, music and entertainment is, and parking is just $1 per hour! It’s a great way to spend a spring morning in Silicon Beach!


Third Street Promenade

Pay a visit to the 3rd Street Promenade and enjoy the street performers and entertainers who make this pedestrian?only boulevard their stage. You’ll walk down the street with the sound of drums, acoustic guitars, and tambourines filling your ears. While the musicians are taking a break, you can stop to watch the acrobats, dancers, psychic cats, mimes and bubble blowers, who entertain the crowds!
