The flower fields at Carlsbad are very well known to offer colorful scenery almost year round! The beauty admired today at the Carlsbad flower fields is a result of about 85 years of floral cultivation. This spring season, the flower fields are open everyday until May 8th, rain or shine. The month of April is filled with many fun events for all ages such as Flower Flow Yoga, concerts, and picnic events. Tickets must be purchased online and they tend to sell out fast so make sure to check out their activities calendar to reserve your spot.
Diamond Valley lake offers a small 1.3 mile loop trail that allows you to enjoy the springtime wildflower bloom. This trail is actually only open during the springtime so be sure to check it out before the season is over. Diamond Valley offers a number of trails that are perfect for not only hikes but cyclists as well so make sure to check them out!
Not enough rain was received for a super bloom this year at Anza-Borrego State Park, but you are still likely to find patches of colorful and lively wildflowers. Thousands of visitors come from around the world to view the unique desert bloom each year.
Although there was a lack of rain for there to be a super bloom in most reserves or state parks, you can still enjoy scenic views with decent amounts of beautiful and colorful wildflowers.
