Dog Days in Venice: Celebrating Canine Culture with "DOGTOWN"

Calling all dog lovers and art enthusiasts!

Venice Arts is thrilled to announce the opening reception for "DOGTOWN: The Pups of Venice Beach & Their Humans," a captivating exhibition showcasing the work of photographer Dotan Saguy.

More Than Just Beach Bums:

This unique collection captures the vibrant spirit of Venice Beach through the playful lens of its canine residents. Move over, rebellious surfers and skateboarders of the 1960s and 70s – today, Venice belongs to the dogs! Saguy's photographs celebrate the diverse pack that calls this iconic beach home, from all breeds and social backgrounds, some even embracing the local skateboarding culture.

DOGTOWN marks Saguy's third published monograph, a testament to his ongoing fascination with the energy and subcultures of street life. Published by Kehrer Verlag, the book and a selection of prints will be available for purchase at the opening reception.

Supporting the Next Generation of Artists:

Adding to the feel-good vibes, a portion of all sales from the opening will be donated to Venice Arts' free photography programs for underprivileged youth.
