Looking for a place to bring your pooch when you're at work all day so she won't be alone? Or maybe you just want a place where your four-legged best friend can run free with other dogs? Either way, we have a list of the best dog parks and doggie daycares in Silicon Beach for your little guy!
Dog Parks
Airport Park: Airport Park is a recreational park in Santa Monica, complete with a playground, picnic tables, a soccer field, and a fenced-in off-leash dog park! It has two areas for dogs to run and play, one of which is for larger dogs and the other is for smaller ones. There is plenty of room on both sides for dogs to run, play, and make new friends! Airport Park is also known for being very clean, which is hard to do when dogs and children are constantly running through it, so a big thumbs up there! Overall, it's a well-liked park and a great place to try out!
Burton W. Chace Park: This isn't actually a "dog park," but it is a very dog friendly park in Marina del Rey to take your pup! It's a beautiful and scenic park that edges the water and is a quiet escape from the day to day life. Though dogs must stay on leash, they are encouraged to come with you for the walk. The park has doggie bags and waste disposals making it clear that that you're dog is just as welcomed and accommodated as you are to roam the park!
Playa Vista Dog Park: " I am a professional dog trainer in this area and love taking my clients dogs here to learn, play and socialize. Highly recommend this dog park," said Brett E. in a review of the park. Playa Vista Dog Park is a large, roaming park with two sides, one accommodating small dogs and the other accommodating big dogs. The park is surrounded by trees and has an overall fun and relaxing atmosphere!
Quick tip: Dog parks are made up of all kinds of dogs, which means sometimes people bring their dogs that aren't as well behaved or socialized. Always keep an eye on your pup just in case, and if your dog looks anxious or stressed, remove him from the situation before he snaps at another dog. That way the dog park remains a safe and happy place for all people and pups involved!
Doggie Daycares
Lucky Tails: Lucky Tails specializes in personalized dog care for every dog! They offer everything from dog walks, to doggie daycare, to doggie sleepovers-- pretty much anything you need to make your pup happy! The owner, Sheyla, is hands on and will work with you to meet both you and your dogs needs! Located in Venice, she's a great option if you're looking for a place to watch your four-legged friend while you're at work!
Happy Dog: If you are looking for a place that will really tire your energized pup out, look into Happy Dog's Mid-day Dog Care! They will pick up your dog from your home between 7:30 and 9 am and drop him back off between 3 and 4 pm, during that time your dog will have to adventure of his lifetime! Your dog will be taken to the mountains for a hike, which will last between an hour and an hour and a half. After the hike your dog will be taken to the dog park until 2:30 pm. It's a full day, but it's definitely one that you're pup will enjoy!
