It might only be a one-mile stretch, but that doesn’t mean that Abbot Kinney Boulevard isn’t one of the coolest streets in the country.
Renamed in 1990 as a tribute to the man who brought the Venice Canals to California, Abbot Kinney has become one of the hottest places for locals and tourists a like. Known as the gathering spot for those who live in the west side, the street boasts some of the best new restaurants, art galleries and nightlife that Venice Beach has to offer. Below are just some of the places you need to check out next time you swing by Abbot Kinney Blvd.
There is no place where “no place where the people are more beautiful, the vibe more Cali-chic, the food more true to our gourmet/carefree aspirations,” LAWeekly boldly states. Located at 1429 Abbot Kinney Blvd, there are few places on this street that have better food and that better encapsulate all that is Abbot Kinney. The pizzas are to die for, the vegetables are always perfectly cooked, and don’t even get us started on the homemade pasta.
Looking for a good drink with some good friends? Then The Otheroom is the place for you! Whether you just want a place to gather on a Friday night or if you want to host an entire party, The Otheroom offers something for every occasion. Just swing by 1201 Abbot Kinney Blvd to check it out!
If you were hoping for something a little different than just a trendy California restaurant, check out The Brig. The Brig has been a cornerstone of Abbot Kinney Blvd for over 60 years now and offers every form of entertainment nightly. You can watch a sporting event or listen to music by one of their nightly DJs. It is never a dull moment here at The Brig!
We have yet to see a bad review about The Tasting Kitchen, and for good reason! It features an eclectic mix of food, atmosphere and clientele, perfectly serving up the New American dinning experience. Intimate and upscale, the dimly lit dinning room makes hanging out with friends and splitting a bottle of wine feel like a exclusive night out. The food is always fresh and the menu changes daily to keep up with the fresh ingredients that are in the kitchen that day. The food is worth the wait, so come by 1633 Abbot Kinney and see what is cooking today.
