A 1,500-Mile Love Letter: Noma is Coming to Silver Lake
![]()
Los Angeles has always been a city of "collisions"—where global traditions meet a dramatic natural landscape. This spring, that collision is about to result in the most significant gastronomic event in the city’s history. Noma, the Copenhagen-based icon that has been named the "World’s Best Restaurant" five times and holds three Michelin stars, is heading to Silver Lake for a 16-week residency from March 11 to June 26, 2026.
For those who follow the "New Nordic" movement, this isn't just a pop-up; it is a creative takeover by mastermind Chef René Redzepi and his legendary 130-person team. At Campbell Wellman, we love highlighting the cultural milestones that make Southern California the vibrant place it is, and Noma’s arrival is a definitive "Love Letter" to our region.
The 300-Mile Pantry
Redzepi’s philosophy has always been about "time and place." Rather than importing Danish moss and sea buckthorn, the Noma team is rebuilding their entire pantry from scratch using ingredients sourced within a 300-mile radius of Los Angeles.
Expect a menu shaped by the abundance of the Central Valley, the olive groves of Ojai, and foraged flavors found between the desert and the Pacific. Redzepi is famously captivated by the "backyard citrus spilling over fences" and the "fig trees strung across freeway overpasses." This residency is his attempt to answer the question: What is Los Angeles?
The Secret Table: What to Expect
Securing a seat at this table will be the ultimate challenge of 2026. The residency is designed to be intimate, exclusive, and entirely immersive:
-
The Location: A secret residential estate in Silver Lake, revealed only to confirmed guests to preserve the "residential character" of the experience.
-
The Capacity: Just 42 seats per night, operating Tuesday through Friday.
-
The Investment: The tasting menu is priced at $1,500 per person. While high, this is a true "all-in" experience that includes the beverage pairing, service, and tax.
More Than Just a Meal
What separates Noma from a standard luxury restaurant is its commitment to the community. Alongside the residency, Noma Projects will open its first standalone shop outside of Denmark in Silver Lake, offering their famous fermented garums and pantry staples.
Furthermore, Redzepi is ensuring the next generation of talent has a seat at the table. The residency will offer free "industry tables" for young hospitality workers under 25 and will donate 1% of all revenue to local school food programs through partnerships with nonprofits like MAD and Brigaid.

The January 26th Drop
The clock is officially ticking. Reservations will be released on Monday, January 26 at 9:00 AM PST. To even get the booking link, you must be signed up for the Noma newsletter by Friday, January 23. In previous residencies like Kyoto and Tulum, seats vanished in minutes.
We believe that real estate is about more than just houses; it’s about the culture and experiences that happen in our dynamic city. For five months, Silver Lake will be the center of the global food conversation—and we can't wait to see how René Redzepi interprets our home.
