10th Annual BRA Run
It's that time of the year! The 10th annual BRA Run in Playa del Rey will be taking place Sunday, August 28th starting at 8am. The BRA Run is an event created by Evelyn’s BFF in order to raise funds for women seeking breast reconstruction surgery after fighting breast cancer. Unfortunately, many insurances don’t cover breast reconstruction for many women as they consider it to be “cosmetic.” The BRA Run raises money to help local women who wish to undergo breast reconstruction to do so without having to worry about the financial burden. Evelyn’s BFF not only assists women wanting to undergo breast reconstructions but they also provide counseling and other essential tools usually not covered by insurances.
Silicon Beach Homes has been a proud sponsor of the BRA Run for the last four years and we have won the belt for the last two years. The belt is awarded to whoever raises the most amount of money and with your help we will be able to once again raise the most for this very special cause. As already mentioned, the race takes place on the last Sunday of the month, both the 5k and 14k start at 8am. There will be costume competitions such as best decorated bra and best dressed team. If you’re unable to attend there will also be a virtual version of the event for you to join.
