The Walker Building
The Walker Building is a luxury loft conversion building in the heart of Long Beach! The stunning Renaissance Revival building sits on the corner of Fourth Street and Pine Ave.
Built in 1929, The Walker Building is named after the Walker Department Store, the retail department store which operated at that location for 50 years. The building changed hands many times before being restored to its former glory by carefully re-creating the lost or damaged art stone and original crenulation along the roof. Contemporary penthouses were added to the rooftop and are consistent with national historic guidelines – this is a historic landmark after all.
The Walker Building includes 39 Manhattan – style loft condos along with seven penthouses. Every unit features polished concrete floors and open living space that allows for a multitude of choices regarding the style of layout. The lofts were finished with many high-end touches and are some of the nicest in the city.
The Walker Building is just steps away from the Pine Ave Entertainment District and a short walk from the beach, the Pike, the harbor and East Village Arts District. Getting around is easy in downtown Long Beach – and getting to Downtown LA just as easy with the Metro Blue line just 0.2 miles away.
