Education in Malibu

Residents of Malibu are served by the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. The district contains seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and three high schools. The district also houses several other academic institutions; including a marine science-focused elementary, a dual immersion elementary school, and a stem focused learning community.

For furthering education, even more options can be found in and around Malibu. The city is home to the private college, Pepperdine University. Residents of the city are also served by the community college, Santa Monica College, which is located in the nearby city of Santa Monica to the south.
